Keto Italian sausage Palmsticcio Recipe

INGREDIENTS
- 1 can Jego | Palmsticcio, lasagna sheets, drained
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 1/2 cup Onion
- 1 clove Garlic
- 7 oz Italian sausage, mild, ground
- 1 tbsp Tomato paste
- 1/2 cup Tomato canned, chopped
- 1/2 tbsp Crushed red pepper flakes
- 1/3 cup Broth
- 2/3 cup Heavy whipping cream
- 2 tbsp Cream cheese
- 1/8 tbsp Black pepper
- 1/8 tbsp Nutmeg, crushed
- 1/2 cup Mozzarella Cheese
INSTRUCTIONS
Open, drain and rinse Jego | Palmsticcio lasagna sheets. Set aside.
Sauté garlic, onions and the Italian sausage with olive oil for a minute or two. Add the crushed red pepper flakes, tomato paste, along with chopped tomatoes and the broth. Cover and cook for 25 minutes at a medium heat. Adjust salt and black pepper. Set aside to let it chill.
In a medium pan, combine the heavy cream, cream cheese, and nutmeg. Stir constantly. Cook at medium heat until it start boiling.
To assembling, grease the baking container, place the heart of palm sheets to cover the base, add the Italian Sausage-Tomato mix on top the base, then add some mozzarella cheese and some of the cheese sauce. Repeat the process in the same order until no more ingredients are left behind. Finish with cheese sauce and Italian sausage sauce and mozzarella cheese. Bake at 400F for 14 minutes.
