Tuna palmsticcio

  • Olive oil 4 tbsp
  • Onion 1 chopped
  • Garlic 1 tsp minced
  • Leek 1/2 cup chopped
  • Tomato puree 1 cup
  • Tomato paste 5 tsp
    Canned tuna 5 cans
  • White vinegar 5 tsp
    Stock 1/2 cup
  • salt and pepper

 

  • Ricotta cheese 1 1/2 cup
  • Heavy whipping cream
  • Onion Powder 1/4 tsp
  • Mozzarella cheese 2 cups
  • Jego Palmsticcio 2 cans
  • Cilantro 4tbsp

 

Saute onion, garlic, and leek until brown.

Add Tomato puree, tuna, tomato paste, vinegar, and saute for 2 minutes. Add stock, and cook it medium-low for 10 minutes.

 

 

White sauce:

Mix ricotta, heavy whipping cream, onion powder, and salt and set aside.

 

  Assemble the palmsticcio:  

Spread some white sauce in the tray base.

Place one layer of Palmsticcio sheets.

Add a layer of Tuna sauce.

Add a white sauce layer.

Add a mozzarella cheese layer 

 

Repeat the process one more time. 

Topping with white sauce and mozzarella cheese

 

Bake for 30 min at 400F degrees. 

Let it rest for 10 minutes.
