Holiday Ham Glazed to Perfection
INGREDIENTS
- 3 tbsp Butter
- ¼ cup Brown Sugar
- 5 cups Natural Orange Juice (Of course We highly recommend @jegolife's!)
- ½ cup Honey
- 1 tbsp Mustard
- 3 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 Cinnamon Stick
- 1 Allspice Berry
- 1 Half Butt Hickory Smoked Ham (~10 lbs)
HO TO MAKE IT
- Let your ham sit at room temperature for about 1 hour. Take it out of the packaging and pat it dry with a paper towel.
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
- In a saucepan, mix butter, brown sugar, honey, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and 4 cups of orange juice. Cook over medium-high heat until the mixture thickens, and you can see the bottom of the pan when you run a wooden spoon through it. That’s your glaze!
- Brush the ham generously with the glaze using a pastry brush. Pour the remaining 1 cup of orange juice into the baking pan. Cover the ham with foil if your pan doesn’t have a lid.
- Bake the ham for 15 minutes per pound at 325°F. Every 30 minutes, take it out and brush it with more glaze.
- During the last 15 minutes, remove the foil and bake uncovered until golden brown or until the internal temperature reaches 135°F (57°C).
- Let the ham rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
