Holiday Ham Glazed to Perfection

Holiday Ham Glazed to Perfection

INGREDIENTS

  •  3 tbsp Butter
  • ¼ cup Brown Sugar
  • 5 cups Natural Orange Juice (Of course We highly recommend @jegolife's!)
  • ½ cup Honey
  • 1 tbsp Mustard
  • 3 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 Cinnamon Stick
  • 1 Allspice Berry
  • 1 Half Butt Hickory Smoked Ham (~10 lbs)

HO TO MAKE IT

  1. Let your ham sit at room temperature for about 1 hour. Take it out of the packaging and pat it dry with a paper towel.
  2. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
  3. In a saucepan, mix butter, brown sugar, honey, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and 4 cups of orange juice. Cook over medium-high heat until the mixture thickens, and you can see the bottom of the pan when you run a wooden spoon through it. That’s your glaze!
  4. Brush the ham generously with the glaze using a pastry brush. Pour the remaining 1 cup of orange juice into the baking pan. Cover the ham with foil if your pan doesn’t have a lid.
  5. Bake the ham for 15 minutes per pound at 325°F. Every 30 minutes, take it out and brush it with more glaze.
  6. During the last 15 minutes, remove the foil and bake uncovered until golden brown or until the internal temperature reaches 135°F (57°C).
  7. Let the ham rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
